What is it with this little town? How come I always seem to find my way back here?

I'm not complaining. Especially because this is where Caitlin is. And I can't stand being away from her. But Denton is no New Orleans. Which is an aquired taste... Much like the way a young child would spew coffee from their mouth. But somewhere during college, coffee becomes a way of life. The aroma delivers the body from slumber and brings life to dry bones.

Denton has some flavor too. But the constant adjusting to living in a new place can make someone a little dizzy. The number one comment I hear from people I've known more than a year is, "I can never keep up with you". The number one comment I hear from people I don't know is, "you look familiar". Am I on the move that much? I wish I could say I was as accomplished as Paul was. He continually moved to plant new churches and escape from being stoned to death.

I know there is a greater purpose going on here somewhere, so don't mistake my point, I'm not pitying myself. Not at all. I've been able to live a pretty grand adventure so far. It's been pretty interesting. But sometimes I am left clueless. Which is ok. I think.

The semester is just about wrapped up. Just one more paper to write. But with all the reading and writing I've done, I may as well be studying the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?

Last night's game was phenominal. It's one of those events you'll remember for the rest of your life. I would even go so far as to say it was more than just a game for this City.

And it looks like I'm not going to need a wig after all. Bono's gone after my haircut instead.

Man, today has truly been a beautiful day. I've enjoyed it the heck out of it so far.

Can I just say that the Sufjan concert at the House of Blues was mesmerizing?
I don't know if there's anything more spectacular than a band that size on stage, all wearing wings.
It was very ironic since I first discovered Sufjan's cd a full year ago in New Orleans, right before the hurricane.
Now the circle is fullfilled.

And, to celebrate U2 coming to town to reopen the Super Dome, I think my roomates and I are going to put on a spoof concert from our balcony for those who weren't able to get tickets to the epic event. Since I don't have the ability to play any musical instrument I'll be the one doning Bono's infamous sun glasses (and a wig?). Make sure you get there early.

Why am I updating on xanga when I have a massive theology worksheet to finish up?
